Grocery Shopping

I always make sure I have something from all of the Big Five:

1. Protein

2. Fruits

3. Grains

4. Dairy

5. Vegetables

Approaching grocery shopping this way already creates a strong foundation to build on. I also love adding a few “specials” each week. This could be a new spread, a clean soup, or just some fresh herbs and spices.

Of course, walking out with a sweet treat is non-negotiable. I firmly believe that having a solid foundation of whole foods goes a long way toward maintaining a healthy and balanced diet.
