Sourdough French Toast Casserole
Ingredients
• 1 loaf sourdough bread
• 2 cups (480 ml) milk
• 8 eggs
• 1 tsp salt
• 1/2 tsp pepper
• A dash of vanilla extract
• A dash of cinnamon
• A drizzle of honey
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F / 175°C.
2. In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients.
3. Pour the mixture into a greased casserole dish.
4. Bake until set and lightly golden, about 35–45 minutes depending on your oven.
Tip:
You can add some nuts to give it a crunch. Pecans are my first choice. You can also add a little brown sugar to the mix for extra sweetness and flavor.
